Táncra Fel! - join the dance! is a participatory dance format that invites anyone to dance, regardless of experience. Led by professional dancers and supported by live DJ music, the session begins with simple guided movements and gradually develops into a shared groove. The format creates a safe and playful environment where participants can overcome their fear of dancing, connect with others, and experience movement as a collective social activity.
Táncra Fel! - Join the Dance! was initiated in 2021 by Gyula Cserepes in response to a simple and recurring statement:
“I would like to dance, but I don’t know how.”
The project addresses this hesitation by creating a structured, yet open environment in which anyone can enter movement without prior knowledge or technical skill. Dance is approached not as performance, but as a social activity — a shared human practice rooted in rhythm, repetition, and collective presence.
By combining simple movement structures with music and group dynamics, Táncra Fel! - Join the Dance! lowers the threshold of participation and invites people to reconnect with their bodies and with each other. Rather than presenting choreography, the format creates conditions in which movement emerges through shared rhythm and interaction, allowing participants to enter a collective physical experience.
