Gyula Cserepes grew up in Óbecse, Vajdaság, on the Tisza river — a relationship with the water, and the experience of flow and rhythm it produces, that runs through his work. Over five days, together with three dancers of the Central-Europe Dance .Theatre, guest artist Patrik Keresztes, and three modern-dance students from the Hungarian Dance University, he built Tiszavirág around the rhythm of timelessness held inside a passing moment — the mayfly's brief surfacing on the river giving the piece its title.
